Christopher Paul Curtis

Christopher Paul Curtis who has won several awards for his writing, entertained us with his stories of working for an automotive plant and how his writing flourished during this time.

Christopher Paul Curtis was the visiting author for the Middle School grades. Mr. Curtis was truly an entertaining speaker and very generous too! During his presentation he asked three children from each grade level to answer questions that related to his story. If the children got his question correct he gave them a "bookmark" which was a twenty dollar bill. All the kids were so excited. He taught the kids a song from one of his books. And I've heard from my son, that a lot of kids have been singing that song around school this week.

You can visit his website and read more about his amazing journey on becoming a published writer.
